Elena and Chris are photographers based in Sydney Australia.

Hi, I'm Elena, an Australian-born freelance photographer with Uruguayan and Mexican heritage. Over the past seven years, I've worked across a variety of photography genres, including fashion, commercial, engagement, and, on occasion, weddings.

I am autistic and have ADHD. Rather than defining my limits, these experiences have shaped my perspective and strengthened my passion for creating spaces where neurodivergent people feel understood and comfortable. I believe that with the right support, anything is possible.

Alongside photography, I have a background in mental health and bring both lived experience and professional experience to my work. My goal is to provide photography sessions that are welcoming, flexible, and genuinely neurodiversity-affirming.

At this time, our studio specialises in supporting neurodivergent clients. Please note that the space is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, and we want to be transparent about that limitation so clients can make informed decisions.

Chris Lau has a Diploma in Photography from TAFE NSW and is Elena’s assistant and occasionally takes over as well, he also interned at the highly regarded photo studio in Glebe where Elena and Chris met and formed the idea together called….The Lens.
